Your writing is beautiful and I wholeheartedly agree with your take on the media we consume, which is why I started my Substack publication to begin with. I am so honoured you included me in your list of recommendations - Thank you!

Next time you’re in Vancouver, BC please reach out. I may need to work a bit to keep up on the bike, but I do know all the great coffee/cider/snack spots 😊

"Two days later and most of the anger is gone, that’s the thing with anger, it’s hot and burns itself out. Sadness clings."

So Good.

Thank you,

So glad you’re doing this. I find myself using Instagram less and less and dislike them as a company. It’s nice to be able to keep up with people I like on their outside of the app. Be good to yourself.

Enjoy your writing abilities. The carrot salad is classic. My mom introduced me to lovage decades ago and mating it to carrots (raw or steamed) is an amazing match. It's easy to grow; even comes back for anyone in colder climes. Kind of hard to source though. I get from Yes Yes Nursery near Solvang.

Keep up with the writing. It can be cathartic and your voice is needed. I started following gravel races pre-Covid and it’s frustrating and sadly predictable to see what a wall of corporate professional money can do to damage what has made and can still make gravel/ MTB and outdoor sport so special - other sports have suffered the same so many times before.

The flipside though is to see that the strength and diversity of the outdoor/ biking community is what makes it unique and gives lots of hope for the future.

Also loved the playlist 🎵 - many thanks!
